Mics XC 5.0 Issue!

What capabilities will the user lose if I change the EXTT prompt to NO in the Customer Datablock?

What capability will be blocked if all trunks are set to NCOS 0?

DID's

JUST LIKE IT READS, IT WILL PREVENT THE CONNECTION OF SUPERVISED TRUNKS BY EITHER CONF OR TRANFER AS IN DIALING 9.
AND AS FAR AS CHANGING THE NCOS OF YOUR TRUNKS TO 0 I WOULD DO SOME RESEARCH FIRST, NORMALLY THIS IS DONE TO BE ABLE TO DO A FORWARD TO A TRUNK GROUP

Changing route when LD carrier fails???

The EXTT feature I still don't really understand. What can a caller do now with it set to YES that they wouldn't be able to do with it set to NO? Can you give me a forinstance?

line in use (ghost caller)

It's my understanding that it has to do with networking systems and the capibility of transfer across the trunks. All my switches are set to NO

So, if say a call comes in to the PBX and hits a DSC to an IVR. Then from the IVR the call is bridged to another T1 and is sent back to the PBX and then out of the system to the Public network would EXTT need to be set to YES to facilitate this type of call flow?

1ST WHY ARE YOU ASKING ABOUT EXTT OPTION, BECAUSE WHOEVER DESIGNED YOUR SWITCH DECIDED IT NEEDED TO BE SET TO YES. WHY DO YOU WANT TO SET IT TO NO

Performing a security audit and EXTT is recommended to be set at NO. That is why I am asking for a real world explaination of the consequences of changing this setting.

Accessing TOOLS Menu

GO AHEAD AND SET IT TO NO THEN, I REALLY DONT THINK YOU WILL SEE ANY CHANGE IN THE OPERATION OF THE SWITCH

op:11c networking with norstar

Rachelee, if you turn the EXTT to NO, may be youŽll canŽt dial a external call, press transfer, make a second external call and complete the tranfer.
Another interference on system is make conference call for external calls, like transfer.
Depends of other parameters...

4 asteriks

Those parameters were changed and it appears that all normal call processing in flowing as it should. It has been changed for the last 4 hours of operation and no one has had any difficulties. I will assume that these settings were allowed for a projected networking of sites that never took place. All seems to be well at this time.
