Hi all,

New to the forum, but it is definately the most detailed forum i have found that covers 11c's. Thanks.

I have a wierd issue.
If i receive a voicemail, the lamp goes on, and then within about 15 seconds, it turns itself off, as if i have listened to the message.

I have an option 11c, an i2002 handset and I use Callpilot Desktop Messaging.

I have played around with lots of features on my handset, so it could be anything i'm afraid.

Any ideas ?

Is it a mailbox that more than 1 person has access to? Is it posible that someone else is checking the voicemail. When you long in to CP does it say "you have no new voice messages"? or does it give you the number of voice messages.

No, its just my voicemail.
No-one else has my password to check it.

I would recommend swapping out phones to see if the lamp is faulty on the phone. If that is not the case, out the set and rebuild off a known good TN.

Remove the desktop messaging, does the problem persist?

I've heard of issues with the mail client marking messages as read

We have the exact same problem that im trying to figure out also, were on on op81 but its also happening on our 11's as well, and our voicemail is octel 250, we did have modular messaging but not using it anymore. The phones are 2616 and 3904. We had octel run a test and said the messages are sending ok and no errors they said could be switch issue, thats where im stuck at trying to figure it out too

I would do what Jack suggested... Isolate the issue.

Also, what type of mail system do you have?

Oh... I recall hearing about this issue awhile back. It turned out to be google toolbar actually.

I would check that first.

Agreed Google toolbar can cause all kinds of flaky things to happen with integrated messaging
