Not My Mom and Dad

Has anyone ever tried to use a Terminal Server to attach to a TTY port? I would like to be able to get to my TTY w/o MAT or OTM (because Nortel can't write Windows software) over the LAN. I have an 8-port Black Box Terminal Server that I am trying to get to work, but can't quite get it right.
Thanks

This si very easy. Most of the default terminal server settings will work just fine. I set the TTY up for 9600 N/8/1. You need to have the right DB-25 to connect to the TTY Port, but you can get away with as little as pins 2, 3, and ground......

The NTP's have a complete PINOUT of the variuso cards, and the terminal server should have the same. Just in T1, match a Rx to Tx, and you should be good to go. Now if you have a Cisco Terminal server, these seem to require a bit more on the interface plug, and depending on the configuration in the box, can get VERY flakey. Don't get me wrong, the Cisco boxes are fantastic, once you have the proper config.

Good luck

900 Numbers

Seems to work, except I can't get rid of echo. Everything I type in goes twice, like llooggii... turned off local echo on telnet session and term server.
