Remotely cancelling Call Fwd

Is there a way to remotely cancel a call forward that someone has turned on their set? I have this problem when someone moves offices and forwards their phone to the new desk. Then after either swapping TNs or doing a change to their DN, I have to go up to their desk to cancel the forward.

You can do it through the web interface of Optivity if you have it.

If you have access to the PBX, either delete and recreate their phone or delete, then add the forword feature.

You can use the remote call forward activate/remote call forward deactivate flexible feature code to activate/deactivate the forward on any set in the system that has a SCPW defined.

Do cancel a forward, dial the pre-defined RCFD FFC code, then dial the SCPW of the set, then dial the prime DN of the set and release.

The problem with this is that most of my phones are on another switch than the one I'm on.

I didn't think about NULling the CFW key on the set, then placing it back on. I ran into this problem the other night when CHGing the prime DN on a set in an unused office...someone forwarded the phone to the AA and after placing a new DN on the set, I had to go downtown and physically take the CFW off.

If you have a DISA enabled on the system you can use that feature to get to other system and use remote call forward.

Otherwise are you familiar with ld77? It is possible to similate sending ssd messages either to a set or to the system, you can actually simulate pressing and releasing the CFW key which would cancel the CFW if you have CLI access to the system

This is only applicable when removing CFW from set, If you want to activate you will have to physically be on site or have some reeeally long arms.
