Unhappy Call Pilot Desktop Messaging marking messages as read

Call Pilot Desktop Messaging (ver 4) is automatically marking user's messages as read and turning off the MWK before the message has been heard. Solutions, please???

For the MWK a Nortel option would be needed that turns it off only after the message has been heard but I don't know if it's possible now.

But for the "marked as read on opening", I think it's a mail client-related problem: I don't know what program you're using but if it's Outlook, it will automatically mark a message as read when you open it in a stand-alone window (double-click), and CallPilot messages being "special" messages that can't be previewed in the reading pane (custom forms have the same restriction), they must be double clicked and so Outlook marks them as read when you open them.
A solution would be for CallPilot to send a "Mark as unread" message to Outlook on opening to change it back to unread, and then a "Mark as read" when it's been heard, but I don't even know if this is possible with Outlook plugins.

I will check with Outlook 2007 when we receive it if this behaviour is changed or not.

Red face

Having same issue with this.

Call Pilot marks all incoming messages as 'read' in Outlook even though they are not, which shuts off the MW indicator on the phone.

I also have a 2nd PC with a worse issue.. it deletes any and all incoming messages!

Any thoughts?
