Location: Terre Haute Indiana Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Overflow RAN config Has anyone tried to send calls to vacant DID numbers to an recorded message in callpilot? I suppose you could configure a RAN route easily enough by using a Universal Trunk Card port looped to another Universal Trunk Card port that auto-terminates to an SDN in callpilot. The issue here is the RTYP and the associated signalling. Just thought it would be worth checking before I drop a couple of hundred bucks on a Viking DVA-500A.

If so yes send the caller to Call Pilot via a SDN. __________________ Fellas', I need more Cow Bell!

Location: Terre Haute Indiana Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Thanks for the response John. The killer here is sending calls to vacant DID numbers (intercept). CDB (ld15) parameter CTVN (calls to vacant number) limit you choices to the attendant or a RAN route. Of course a ran route is device specific (audichron, codeaphone type digital voice announcers) with specialized E and M signaling for playback control. I was curious as to whether someone had figured out a way to configure 2 Universal trunk ports with E and M signaling that would allow intercepted calls to be routed to an announcement in callpilot. I am currenlty tinkering with configs in our production switch. I`ll update this post if I am successful but I am not enthusiastic. Suddenly a couple of hundred dollars on a viking device that is designed for this task seems very attractive. Damn my cheap-ass Scotch-Irish roots! This means part of me wants to get drunk and the other half doesn't want to pay for it!

Location: Terre Haute Indiana Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Let me clarify. Calls from the world to DID numbers that are not in use is what I mean when I state "calls to vacant numbers". Calls placed to vacant numbers can be given overflow tone, sent to the operator or sent to a RAN route. Unfortunately your way would require me to configure all of my idle DNs as phantom numbers (about400) with a DCFW to an SDN that would then play the announcement.
