i dont believe this is poss on a 500 set, only digital using a key...unless someone else knows a way

Not possible!!

Obv needs a a key on a digital set -- or equivalent -- to display status.

Feature Code for Observe Key
Ok. Does anyone know if it is possible to control the OBSERVE KEY with CTConnect or some other remote method?

Mat and Option 11C
in a nutshell...

allow supervisors to observe agents by remotely controlling a supervisor phone that is connected to a pc with lots and lots of disk space

The observing supervisors are not in the same pbx location...

any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Flatulence Cure
The Agent Observe feature isn't supported over networked switches. The agent and supervisor have to be on the same site. I am not aware of any remote control application that supports such a feature.
It sounds feasible that something like this could be supported in an VoIP based set-up. The agents can be on various sites but the WAN would give a common point to record/observe the agents. Again I am not aware of this type of VoIP application being currently on the market.
