Norstar to Meridian Mail over PRI????

Our CLEC recently added some free local calls to a different area code. Example 919 (NPA) 304 (NXX). Currently when this number is called it goes out our LD trunks. How do I make these calls go out our local trunks so the call is free?

Hardware software advise needed for Telephone message exchan

That all depends on how your BARS was set up in the first place.

I would say it's time to get your vendor involved.

Switching Long distance carriers

You would need the NPA for 1919 printed. You need the RLB that it points to. You need the FCAS table printed if defined. You also need the RLB for your local calls printed along with any DMI associated with it.

Like I said, I really believe its time to get your vendor involved.

about E&M

If you have an understanding of BARS then you would follow the same steps as a currently used NXX that follows the path desired. Therefore, you would program your new NXX like the existing NXX and you would be in business. Be aware of DMI, FCAS, TGAR/TARG, and NCOS conflicts. BARS is not something you really want to play around with if you are not certified to do so. A call to your vendor is not a bad idea.
