I got more on my mind.....

Hi,
I have an option 81C and I have a dedicated long distance T1 card circuit from AT&T. We are changing over to Qwest. Do I need to do anything programming on my PBX for this change-over?

You will have to confirm the CO Switch type that you currently have and make sure you do not have a conflict with the Quest settings.

Alot would depend on if the T1 is PRI or standard T1.

RIGHT NOW YOUR SWITCH IS STRIPPING THE 1 BEFORE SENDING IT TO ATT, YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE DMI FROM THE RLB

PP,
How do I do the "stripping" of the 1 before sending it to ATT? What are the programming step to remove the DMI from the RLB'S?

Switching Long distance carriers

How do your users dial long distance calls today (i.e., do they dial 1 + NPA)?

Buffy:

You need to talk to Qwest and verify the type of CO they will be connecting you through. You will need to verify the type of service they will be providing. Then you will need to look at your RDB and your BARS programming. You might want to hit the books or repost a few more specific questions. There are several steps to go through in swapping carriers. Good Luck! Let us know if you need any specific assistance.
