TM 3.0 No Station Admin?
Okay, let me get this straight? If I install TM 3.0 the windows think client and the server will no longer have the station admin module? The only way to make station admin changes is through the web client (which I am not a big fan of).

Do I have that straight? Why did they remove the station admin from the thick client? Are there any plans to reinstate it?

Yes. That's exactly the case. I just did the upgrade last week and I regret it. There are a lot of bugs (especially in regards to CPND). I'd wait a while before moving to TM3.

From what we have seen here I would hold off on 3.0 as long as you can.
