Anyone know what I need to do to make a DBA work on a 3904 Rls 2 phone?

Program it up & nothing is displayed on the dba, I've changed DBA's same result.

Tried on different 3904's same result.

Press the key associated w/ the programming nothing.

Dial dn little phone icon flashes disply works on 3904 & I can answer call. After this pressing key results in dial tone.

Done a FDL same result.

Any ideas?????????

I may be completely on the wrong track; I've never had to work on any DBAs. Had a quick peek in the NTPs and it seems to hint at as well as having to set DBA to 1 for the set, to also have OPT DBA in overlay 15 for digital sets, and also CLS FITA for the set as well.

Not looking for tones.

This is a "Display based Expansion Module" aka an add on mod. for the 3904.

Apologies - I was aware of that, but I wasn't sure if they flexible incoming tone feature may have enabled the communications between the devices; especially since the NTPs mentioned FITA in conjunction with DBA's. Told you I was probably on the wrong track :P

I'm with a Nortel techie tomorrow, if you don't have an answer by then, I can run it by him if you like

We added an expansion module to a 3905 set and there was no display until we added a power supply to the line. Do you have a power supply connected?

You shouldn't need a power supply for the DBA, all I had to do was add DBA to the OPT in the CDB and programed to phone accordingly and wala it worked.

Jack, not sure what the issue is with your current situation, but I'm still digging for an answer

YOU MAY WANT TO TRY KBA INSTEAD OF DBA
