Symposium and Genesys

G'Day,

Is it possible for a Symposium Server to provide the SLink for Genesys call routing and also have Symposium scripts for routing calls. I would think it would be possible as long as you keep the CDN's ACD, TN and DN (and what ever else you route with) separate (no duplication between Symposium and Genesys elements)

Has anyone seen any environments that run with way? What are the considerations? Does it work well?

Hey,

I had this configuration at a previous site of mine.

Genesys was used for Routing of calls to agents, and agents stats ect, but we still used symposium for some other routing. Just make sure Symposium does not aquire the same CDN's as Genesys (one will fail) and you can do whatever routing you want..

We had no problems with running this way, as the systems worked well together, with a few intergration bugs on Genesys, like stuck "status" on CCPulse, showing the agent as "off hook" even when the phone was down, nortel blamed genesys, genesys blamed nortel and the roundabout went on..

If you need anything else just give me a shout, maintained this configuration on 2 81c's for this client for about 3 years

Oh, we connected Genesys using Symposium M-Link!
