Connecting laptop to 61C

I have an option 61C that i am trying to connect a laptop to. I am under the impression that to do this, I need to hook the laptop up to the j25 connector on the back of the active core with a pc modem cable. If this is the correct way, it does not seem to work. Anyone have any ideas, and if it is not correct, how can i get my laptop connected. Thanks in advance for any help

You will need a "null Modem" adaptor also, this will allow your PC to "talk" to the PBX.

There should be a port J21 at the back also, try this port (with a null modem) if your J25 not working.

Ahhh clever man! Didnt think of that 0ne, could always check the CNI card and see which is the active proc.. and then connect to that one, or trial and error
