Cool Setup a new voicemail
Alright, so one of our departments here would like voicemail added to their phone. I know how to create it in the Meridian Mail section. However, I don't know how to program it to "forward to voicemail after X many rings."

Couldn't find that basic thing in any FAQ, if I missed it I apologize.

I would print an existing set that currently has voice mail and configure the new set the same way. If you do not want to do that then post a print of the set you would like to have voice mail setup on.

That's actually one of my other issues. I need to install a replacement printer, as the other one is toast. And I don't know how to go about doing that either. Doh!

You will need to set the FDN and Hunt to the voicemail main number (ext. 4444). then you will need to set the LHK to 0 or 1 (depending how many dial lines are programmed on phone)

The rings are set by using "RCO 0/1/2" each having a different value, this is set on the pabx, so there is no sure way to determine from here what each value is. You can get the value by printing the CFN from LD 22. Also ensure the CLS on the phone is set to FNA, SFA and FBA

LD 20
REQ: CHG
TYPE: xxx
ECHG: yes
FDN 7000 (Voicemail DN)
CLS FNA SFA FBA
RCO 0 (or 1, or 2)

This feature sends DID calls encountering a busy condition to the attendant.

Unless of course this is what you want, I prefer busy callers be sent to voicemail.

Oh...I wouldn't want that. She gets annoyed at callers enough as it is. =)

So I would exclude putting FBA at all then?
