Crazy problem

Hey all - I wanted to see if anyone has a favorite fiber testing unit or if there is a standard product that is favored (kind of like a T-Bird for T1s). I would assume that some T-Birds have the ability to test fiber but heck if I know. Why do you prefer it and where can I purchase it. Some training would be needed as well.

All input is appreciated.

A Good Year

my tester is just a cable that allows me to LOOP the fibre so the Telco can see the loop

Fiber testing product

Okay - I need something that could test multiple strands. Like the rate of data flow. I'm thinking if there is a kink in the fiber strand (which is what brought this idea on originally) can that be measured? Here's what happened....In one of our locations, the LEC installed and "tested" some fiber and said it was good. After some transmitting problems, the LEC discovered that some strands were not completely clear due to some kinks in the fiber.

euroset line administration

I think Corporate doesn't trust the LEC (imagine that).
