Option 11c DID

I was called to work on a system. They wanted several things done but I did have a problem with their DIDs. I use ld 49(idc) to get DID calls to the proper stations. There must be another way to make DID calls work. I could not figure it out. I really would appreciate some help with this problem.
thanks John

The Only Other Way Is To Program The Did Number As The Dn On The Phone, If You Receive 4 Digits 4444 From The Co Then Your Dn Would Be 4444 On The Phone. Sometomes The Idc Is Used Because Of A Conflict In The Dialing Plans. If There Is No Conflict There Is No Need For Idc Other Than Dnis Digits

I believe that you have to program a place for a DID call to go, there is just more than one place to do the call direct. I know how to use the IDC function in ld 49, but I need help where else can you direct those calls.
thanks John

Hi John,

1. Did you have following configuration in your DID route in LD 16:
IDC -->YES
DCNO -->Set to your LD 49 IDC table number
NDNO -->Set to your LD 49 IDC table number
2. DID Type:
Analog DID Line: Plsease Use LD 80 to Verify that your line for Carrier is OK to use.
PRI DID Line: Please use LD 96 to turn on DCH message to check that your call will be direct to PABX system.

Hope those can help you to reslove your problem~~^^~~

They have a 100 DIDs coming in on a PRI. Most of them work fine somehow because SBC did not direct them using ld 49. I was to fix a couple that did not work. The ones that do not work are not pointed at the stations so those did calls just get busied out.
thanks John

It boils down to the how many digits in the dialing plan and how many digits being sent by the carrier, usually if it's the same then you don't need IDC however if you get into one of those things like us (7 digit extensions and 4 digits being sent from at&t) then you're off to LD 49.

After checking with SBC, we found out that they were not routing the did number to my customer. It was another case, I had to prove that the trouble was not at the customers before they would even test. In the end, all is well now.
thanks John
