Location: Bethesda, MD Rep Power: 6 ![]() | RELEASE 26 PRODUCT RELEASE BULLETIN!! Ok so if it is an SPN then would that hinder my mail system to send remote notifications and can I just enable it as an NPA to get this to work? If I can just do that then do I add it the same way as if I ad an Area Code? I am able to dial 800 numbers with no problem so I am not sure why the mail system would have trouble dialing it.

Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 9 ![]() | Companion Phone Set up / Registration There is a dialing translations area of MerMail that you may want to look into. Also, if you can dial all of the pager numbers from your PBX that you MerMail seems to have issue with then, you may want to talk to the pager company. Have you seen any errors in the SEER messages that mention something about receiving a tone back that has left a mail boxes notification turned off? You may have issue with the pager not the MerMail. rachelle __________________ No matter where you go, there is the Ladies Love Marty Fan Club.

Location: Bethesda, MD Rep Power: 6 ![]() | dialed name display I have not seen any other messages besides the one that I showed above. I will see where to find these translations (totally new to me) to see if there is anything different then what all the others have. I have yet to call the pager company because I can't see what problem they could cause with my pbx. All the pagers are exactly the same with the only uniqueness being the phone number they have. The directory dialing for leaving numeric messages is the same so I woud imagine that there is not much they can do to help.

Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 9 ![]() | dialed name display You can also go into TOOLS and check out the outcalling audit trails. Again, it would show when Mermail is getting a failure tone in the dialing sequence. But, if you can dial these calls from your switch without any issues Mermail would be using the same Routes and restrictions, I would imagine. rlc __________________ No matter where you go, there is the Ladies Love Marty Fan Club.

Location: Bethesda, MD Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Backing up CallPilot to Disk I didn't seen an SPN description as that something I have to manually display just like NPA. Yes I am able to dial 877 numbers with not problem. As I said I checked the restrictions and permissions for meridian mail and all of the 800 numbers are listed there yet I can't see why mermail is having so much trouble. I am still not sure how to check the audit trail and that may give me better insight since I can't seem to find anything in all the other obvious places. Basically I get a print out for every failed connection with mermail and it tell me that it had trouble and then to check the audit trail.

Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 9 ![]() | 90# SCAM The error says in the SEERs, "The software encountered an unexpected problem.. Messages may not be played properly to voice pagers, or incorrect or incomplete digit strings might be transmitted to numeric pagers. ACTION: The error text and return code will identify the unexpected problem. If the error persists, contact your Nortel Networks support organization." So, your text and return codes tell us Restricted Called DN:91877*******. So, something about this number is being restricted. If it is all 877 numbers then you will need to revisit the restrictions permissions lists in MerMail. Log in to your MerMail normally. Go to General Admin. Go to Dialing Translation. Go to Translation Table. You should have something listed here that would accommodate your dialing scheme through the PBX and these toll-free numbers. rlc __________________ No matter where you go, there is the Ladies Love Marty Fan Club.

Location: Florida, Where old phonemen go to die Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Call Foward on Cell Phone you show NPA 1877 as RLI 1 Change it to RLI 0 or out the NPA 1877 and then make an SPN 1877 with RLI 0 just like the other SPN's for 1800, 18555, 1866 then it should work OK
