Location: NORTEL - NJ Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Daylight Saving Changes in 2007 Starting in 2007, the Daylight Saving period will be extended by one month and will begin (for most of Canada and the United States) at 2 a.m. on the second Sunday in March and revert to standard time at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday in November. These new start and stop dates were set in the Energy Policy Act of 2005. Nortel is fully aware of the extended Daylight Saving period commencing in 2007 and is working diligently to ensure a smooth transition to the new timing for all of its affected products. Some products will update automatically, some will require a simple upgrade, and others may require minor manual adjustments. Bulletins with instructions for updating each product impacted by the change will be posted in November 2006. Please visit http://nortel.com for status updates on the Daylight Saving initiative. The DST changes effective in 2007 are going to require you to go into LD 2 and change the existing schedule times, and that's it. Once this is done, the system will follow the new DST schedule. Quick and easy, nothing to patch, nothing in the code to fix really. | ||||||||
