Location: Orange County, CA Rep Power: 0  Gender:  Country:   | Corporate Directory I've added corporate directory allow to the class list on my phone. I can see Corporate Directory if I go into Applications but it says the the Directory is Unavailable. Can someone help me set this up? I have a Nortel Option 11 switch. I was also wondering, with the corporate directoy, can I add an outside telephone number to it? For example, we have 3 PRI's and therefore we have outside caller ID numbers display on our telephone sets. Could I put my cell phone number in the corporate directory so everyone has access to dial it and so that if I call anyone from my cell phone my name will show up on their screen? Thanks! | ||||||||

Location: Space, the final frontier. Rep Power: 5 Gender: Country:  | I can't help with the "Directory is Unavailable" problem but I may be able to help with the other part. When you are in OTM ( if you are running OTM) main page in the pull down box marked "utilities , you will find "corporate directory. When you run this another box appears that has several reports you can run. Run the "M1 corporate directory". ( highlite the M1 corporate directory and right-click on it). This will create the file and place the file in " c:/nortel/common services/reports." In the reports section you will find a file called "CorpDir.csv". You can then edit this file with a TEXT editor. Excel loves to open this and thats OK is all you want to do is look at it. IF you save it in excel and try to upload it, you will be screwed! Use a text editor and make whatever changes to the file you want. Make SURE you keep the layout exactly the same. After you have edited the "CorpDir.csv" with a TEXT ONLY editor you can save it in the same place you found it with the TEXT ONLY program you are using. After that you go back to the main OTM page, utilities, corporate directory. This time double left click on M1 corporate directory. You will get a box pop-up. Go to the upload section and schedule the upload. At the bottom right of the box you will find the schedule button. Name the job ( usually just slap the keyboard so my job name looks something like "dfhd".) at this point you set up when you want the upload done. While you are in editing the CorpDir.csv with a TEXT ONLY editor, you add anything or remove anything you like. Mine has a number for the devil (666) listed, and a few others. You might even have a little fun! Hope this helps more than it hurt. Good Luck. I accept no responsibility for any errors that you may find in the above info!!!! You didn't state what rev you were running. The above works with OTM 2.10. May work with other versions but this facility will never upgrade so I can only tell you about 2.10!! Quote:
