Location: 3498.51 miles from Tiverton, Ontario (CANADA) Rep Power: 16 ![]() | H.323 - T1 Gateway / IP - TDM converter I'm looking for a device that can terminate 8+ PRIs and serve as an endpoint in a pure H.323 network - otherwise known as a VoIP Media Gateway. (Or TDM / IP converter depending on who you ask) I intend to place this device at one of my big sites that doesn't support IP trunk (and won't without a few million dollars invested) and have my Nortel systems (Mixed Option / CS1000 network) send calls to it via gatekeeper / NRS resovled H.323. Been looking at the Audiocodes Mediant 2000; the docs read like it will do the trick but I would like to hear from folks who have actually deployed it or similar devices. Not using SIP because the vast majority of my Nortel systems are running software that doesn't support it and as a tax payer funded entity I don't have enough money upgrade all of them to the latest software.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I've used couple of audiocodes GWs. It works fine with CS1000 over H323. I can say its one of the simplest gateway to install I've seen. By the way - Audiocodes has a Nortel Compatibility Certificate for interworking with CS1000 and MCS5100.
