I am looking for a device that will read back to me my extention when I call it - Console operator is tired of me calling and asking what ext am I calling from.

Unless you want to pay MUCHO dinero for a butt set to do this for you. . she/ he needs to put up with the inconveinence. I don't remember but the last time i priced one to do this it was like $2000 or something insane like that.

Tell them they are the cheapest solution to your problem.

Anyone else have something they use? (at one of my locations that send the CLID info outside, i just use my cell to capture the CLID for me)

DO A TRACE ON THE SWITCHROOM PHONE CALL IT THEN YOU CAN WALK BACK TO THE TERMINAL IN THE SWITCHROOM AND SEE WHAT EXTENSION CALLED, EITHER THAT OR YOUR OPERATOR CAN BE INCONVIENCED.

One thing I have done around here is to put a 2008 display phone in all my closets and call that!

I carry my Symbol wireless VoIP phone and call myself. Very handy.

This will read the clid back to you.

How will that give back the ext number of a non-did phone?
