Under Options, DATA, Terminal Options, Set current Terminal to VT220, uncheck Strip 8 bit. Then click on Advanced and uncheck 8 bit mode. Don't you just love Procom. Tony

Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 9 ![]() | Tony: Thanks! The 'strip bit 8', in the SETUP/Terminal Options window, was already unchecked and nothing is checked under advanced. (Should 'use DEC line wrap mode' be checked?) I am able to talk to all PBXs, even the MerMail off of the 11Cs. However, I am not getting the soft keys of MerMail from the stand alone models in my systems. I am connecting. My Key mapping is correct. Yet, the key map does not seem to be holding. Every time I go to a new system, I have to set the key map back to the Mermail setting. It keeps defaulting to the ANSIBBS. With VT220, the cursor would not move. With VT100 the cursor would move but, no softkeys were seen and coms were still not there. On the plus side, I was able to get CrossTalk to talk to all systems. I really want to hold on to ProCom for use with the Aspect scripts that I have so many of, now...............(thank you T.G.) I don't want to lose those. Since Aspect isn't used on MerMail, I suppose that it won't be a huge hit but, I hate leaving something like this. I just want it to work. So, when I upgrade to Call Pilot, what kind of setting nightmare am I in for? rachelle __________________ No matter where you go, there is the Ladies Love Marty Fan Club. :bow2: :bow2: :bow2:

(It keeps defaulting to the ANSIBBS.) It shouldn't default to ANSI BBS. In you connection Directory for the Meridian Mail Dial Up Number, Under Basic Options, Make sure it is set to VT220 and not ANSI BBS. After a connection is made, You can change the Terminal Option at the bottom of the screen, But I don't think is will actually change the emulation. That may be why you have to change the Key Mapping. It is not really VT220. On Option 11's, I always set it as VT220. This way I can switch between the Option 11 and Meridian Mail with no problems. When you go to CallPilot, you will not be using ProCom at all. Give that a try. Tony
