Location: Milwaukee, Wi. Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Schedule for Next week Customer wants all Directory Asst #'s to go to an 800# Inluding 411 and all xxx-555-1212. Customer says calls to directory Asst must be transparent to users and they can dial 411 or xxx-555-1212 I thought block NXX 555 on all NPA's and have them dial just 411. Customer said no to this. This probably wouldn't work because there must be other 555 #'s than 555-1212. I can do the 411 easy enough because it's an SPN (just do a DMI on it' own RLB) But how to split out every 555-1212....I'm thinking massive programming

Location: Carthage, Mo. Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Camp on and Paging Bobby, i had a customer want something similar many, many years ago. They wanted all xxx-555-1212 calls to go out on local lines instead of their LD's. If i remember right, i had to set up several FCAS's to screen for this number, and also several RLI's. If you set up a DMI table to delete x number of digits, and then add the 800 number you want, you should be OK. Hope this gets you headed the right way. Jim

Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 9 ![]() | I am going to be installing a NAM from scratch What if you went to the 555 in the NXX block and DENY 1212? Wouldn't this keep it from being dialed from any NPA? This would also allow all other numbers within 555 to be dialed. Rachelle __________________ No matter where you go, there is the Ladies Love Marty Fan Club. :bow2: :bow2: :bow2:

Location: Milwaukee, Wi. Rep Power: 7 ![]() | ITG Error codes Rachelle...Customer wants their user to be able to dial xx-555-1212 and get routed to the 800 DA number. MRMIKE...How do you do FCAS to reroute a specific number? The only experience I have in FCAS is allowing certain NXX's in certain NPA's IE: allowing a user to fax to certain NXX's in the Carribean. I do this.... LD 87 prt FCI FCI 1 NPA 441 Alow 292 294 295 LD 86...Put the FCI 1 table in the RLB entries for NPA 1441 to then allow the NXX's to go through.

Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 9 ![]() | 6x16 issue Sorry, I misread the original post. I hate it when I do that. The solution that MRMIKE proposed does seem to be the clean way of accomplishing this request. You will still end up with a goodly amount of programing but, it is straight forward. Good Luck.... For the benefit of others you might want to post your final results.... Rachelle __________________ No matter where you go, there is the Ladies Love Marty Fan Club. :bow2: :bow2: :bow2:

Location: Philadelphia Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Split out XXX-555-1212 Directory Asst to 800# Add a new entry to each rli that has area codes pointed to it. Put this "screening" entry FIRST. Then program that entry as you normally would if every xxx-555-1212 call were hitting it. Then add a new FCAS table in 87. I suggest using the same number that the RLI is. Then set it to alow, enter the NPA and put 555 in the nxx field. This is called long bars. The first entry will then "screen" every call for the 555 and send it out over that route. One problem with this is that a FCAS table has a limited set of NPA entries. You will need to keep that in mind when setting this up. You will end up with several different RLI,s because of the NPA limit in the FCAS tables. Of course you can keep adding entries to the same rli and keep screening, but this will lead to a delay in outbound calls, since every call outside your own NPA will have to pass through this. The 411 thing will be tough unless you can find a single number other than 411 to send it to for NATIONAL directory assistance. also keep in mind that going forward you will have to add new NPA's in 2 places, LD 90 and LD 87. Sometimes it far easier and less complicated to just tell them that it cannot be done ( JUST SAY NO!!!)
