ACD issues

Hi, I have a quesiton on CLID. I have a site that has an Option 11c, 1 Pri and no copper trunks. The customer wants all the external calls to show the reception number and company name. Currently they send DID # and name from LD 95. Our provider says they can only set the privacy bit in CLS CLBA and the CO must insert the number and name. Problem is the CO (AT&T) says they will honor the privacy bit and send Blocked name and number. At&T says send us nothing and we can insert the name and number.

Is there any way I can turn off Call display outbound or better yet set all calls to display the reception number and name external but keep the DID and personal name internal?

Thanks.

Mark.

Thanks for the reply Twisted. Can you be a bit more specific?

Software feature

Try printing your CLID entries
LD 21..prt..Clid
Hopefully see something like:
ENTRY 2
HNTN 262
ESA_HLCL 3593400
ESA_INHN NO
ESA_APDN YES
HLCL 3593400
DIDN NO
HLOC
LSC

ENTRY 3
HNTN 262
ESA_HLCL 973
ESA_INHN NO
ESA_APDN YES
HLCL 973
DIDN YES
HLOC

When you assign a DN to a set you...
Key 0 scr 2879 X the "x" is the clid entry from above
Using the above entries..
If you say key 0 2879 3 the switch will send out 262-359-2879 the DID #
If you say key 0 2879 2 the switch will send out 262-359-3400 ...the Main #
If you say key 8 3456 D the switch will look up from key 0, find the first DID Dn and send it's DID out (not 3456)

There's a lot more to it as you can imagine, but thats a start.

Thanks bobbyb, I knew about the CLID entries. But to be more specific what I have say is:

416-882-8200 as my reception number. My DID range is 8200-8299. I want all my calls from every DID to be 416-882-8200 and the name to be "The Company". Curently we are sending out the DID and the name loaded in LD 95. I still want to keep the DID and name for internal calling.

Is this possible?

Thanks.

M.

ccos question

What bobbyb is saying is correct. The CLID table is for outgoing ISDN calls.

If you program an entry like the following:
ENTRY X
HNTN 416
ESA_HLCL
ESA_INHN
ESA_APDN
HLCL 8828200
DIDN NO
HLOC

Then you would assign the DN on your phones to use this CLID table. As an example if the CLID table you built was 2 then the set would be set up as follows:

Key 00 SCR 8299 2

This would send out 416-882-8200 when calling out on ISDN trunks. It would not send 8299 which is the DN making the call.

Doing this does not change the internal displays.

You should change Entry 0 to the following as all of your phones are using 0 by default. Iif you make a new Entry you will have to change every phone's DN to this new enrty, so it would be easier to just change entry 0

ENTRY 0
HNTN 416
ESA_HLCL
ESA_INHN
ESA_APDN
HLCL 8828200
DIDN NO
HLOC
