Dialling from MS Outlook -> IP2004 handsets - PBX Info :: Your Free PBX, PABX and Telephone Information Resource

Hi

I've done a search through the forums but can't find any immediate answer to the following:

We have a new array of IP2004 handsets on our recently upgraded Option 11c. We were 'advised' by the sales rep (who appears to be no longer available for comment) that it was easy to dial from MS Outlook 2003 using our new handsets (by going into a contact and clicking on the New Call function).

Without getting into the details of IP ranges etc. is it technically possible to do this or do we need additional pieces of software on the server and/or PCs?

If it matters the PCs are connected to our LAN through the IP2004s.

Any advice is gratefully received.
