Location: Missouri Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Routing problem involving SPN and NRS Just installed signalling servers on two switches and upgraded from IPT 2.x to IP Line using H.323 trunks. Conversion was a nightmare and won't go into it, but am having some strange issue with one SPN. Trying to send all toll-free (800, 888, 877, etc.) down the IP trunks; all of these EXCEPT 1800 calls are working. SPNs are the same and both send to the same RLI. However, for whatever reason, the calls are getting marked as a different num plan, and I don't know why. I have an entry in the NRS for "18" marking the calls as "Private Special". Any ideas? (note that this did work before under IPT 2.x). Rep Power: 0 ![]() | NRS never marks any calls. NRS is routing calls according prefix and type of number. If you define in NRS that some site have prefix "18" with type of number Private Special, then NRS will route call to that site only with appropriate digits and type. You can make another entry in NRS for "18" with E.164 National type of number so it will allow routing of this numbers to defined node. It calls "type of number routing".

Location: Missouri Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Ok, so that fixed the issue; thanks for the pointer. Upon further review I just found in the NTPs that Nortel treats an SPN of 1800 as a national number in certain instances, according to the LD 90 description of the INPL prompt. Guess they never thought of 1888m 1877, etc.
