Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Remote Notification w/Meridian Mail and Pager I have a Meridian Mail 12.11.3 on an Option 61. I am having a problem getting it to leave a message to an Arch numeric pager. I can get it to dial the pager number, but the callback number is not being sent. I've tried changing all the timers in the Tools RN area, but nothing seems to make a difference. And, yes, I have the Data Terminator digit set to E in the Outcalling Administration. If I set the RN to dial a phone (off site), leaving the setting as a numeric pager, the number is dialed and after a pause the callback digits are sent. I have been monitoring a dedicated analog trunk I set up for testing. The pager number is dialed, it answers, and sends a series of beeps. then after several seconds I hear fast busy and it disconnects. I've tried setting the various timeouts to their minimums, maximums and various settings in between, but nothing seems to make a difference. It's like the MM hears the beeps and doesn't know what to do. I also tried programming another system the same way and got the same results. I have a Call Pilot set up to dial the same system, and it works fine. Is there something odd with the Arch paging that MM dosen't like? Thanks, in advance. EC | ||||||||

Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 9 ![]() | On my system: The user's mailbox is set to RN Schedules YES. The RN Schedule is 00:01 to 23:59, ENABLED, NOT REQUIRED, the target DN is entered just like if I were to dial that pager number from my phone, NUMERIC, CALLBACK & CALLERNUM, PAGER CALLBACK: up to 8 characters. Under TOOLS: OTHER RN ADMIN Select the option for Numeric Pager terminator # separator * the rest of the settings are timers that are self defining (ex. silence detection would be 20 seconds, delay for callback prefix 2 seconds, etc.) We use arch paging and this set up works for us. If you continue to have issues you may want to contact arch. Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 9 ![]() | Have you contacted Arch? If you can dial it from your phone then MerMail will complete it too. Did it just stop or are you trying to set it up? If it worked and then just stopped, look at Arch as your source. If you are just setting it up you may have other issues. Rep Power: 6 ![]() | This is the first time we've tried a numeric pager with MM. However, I have verified that the number is being dialed. I have been monitoring the call and and can hear the pager answer, but don't see the callback number on my digit grabber. I haven't contacted Arch, yet. I'm going to see if I can find someone around with an AT&T pager, and try that. EC | ||||||||
