queueing BEFORE operator

Is there a possibility to have a form of queue before calls get to the operatorconsole?

I've got a customer who'ld like the operator perform not only as operator
but also give information.
So the lenght of the calls differs very much. From a simple answer listen and transfer call (approx. 30 sec. ) to a more complex question that takes 2 to 3 minutes to answer.
And during queueing we would like to hear a Voice announcement : all employees are currently busy please hold the line...

I know this sounds like acd, but i need the operatorconsole, because i still would like to use the camp-on function...

thx in advance

Eric

BTW : Meridian 11c software 25fx

You can have multiple operator consoles, and try to use ROA_DATA parameters.

Read up on ROA, (Recorded Overflow Announcement). That is the way to accomplish what you are wanting.

Bag the console, use a 3904 or whatever you wish as the attendent, use an acd q, use camp-on-station. Way more flexy.

Wherewolf,

Situation is:

mainnumber calls are taken on operatorconsole and without answering
transferred to ACD queue with ran : in the acd only 1 agent logged in.
agent ext = 3904
couldn't find the option camp on station on that phone !!!!

Where is that feature

I'm new on this (use to work with other pabx's where there was the pos.
to camp-on from an extension)

HELP

Thanks

Eric

OK...you lost me. You indicated you wanted to keep the console in order to perform camp-on, because camp-on is only available from the console.
If you use "camp-on,station" and CONFIGURE properly, you can perform camp-on,station from any extension, not just the console. Therefore, you can get rid of the console, use an ACD-Q with RAN to answer calls, route to the agent as available, and any extension can perform camp-on, station.

All camp-on features have the limit of only one call camped at a time. Call forwarding ALL, CF Busy, Call Waiting, and Hunting all take priority over Camp-on, so they must be removed for the extensions to be camped-on to.

This can all be looked up in the NTP - Features and Services Guide under Camp-on, Camp-on Forced, and Camp-on Station.
