Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 9 ![]() | ISDN between 81C and 11C ???? I have an 81C that is the NET I have an 11C that is the USR If I LCNT on the loops within the 81C all are clean If I LCNT on the loops within the 11C it shows 48+ SLIPR and a few OS alarms The telco provides the open pipe between these sites Where do I begin to see why these loops are losing connectivity???? rachelle __________________ No matter where you go, there is the Ladies Love Marty Fan Club. :bow2: :bow2: :bow2:

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Are the LOOPS that you use as PREF on both sites from the same Telco ? When the 81C clocks on a loop from telco A and the 11C clocks on a loop from telco B you maybe got a difference between clocktimings. Also the "open" pipe may be transporting the signall a litle bit to slow or fast. When somewhere a buffer overflows, the system misses a few bits in the datastream SLIPREP accures, after to many SLIPREP errors the connection can go out of service until you reset the counters LD 60 RCNT. To check where the fault is coming from you need a specific 2MB tester like W&G IBT20 or other brand tester, or an dualbeam oscilloscoop. With the oscilloscoop you can connect one input(synch on that) to the PRI (rcv) that is your PREF on your 11C and the other input to the PRI (rcv) from your connection to the 81C. The 1st signal should be standing still and the second should only move a little bit to left and right. If you see the second signal walking constant to left ore right then after some time single SLIP errors wil appear because one signall is not in synch with the other one (second one is to fast or slow) If this walking of the signal happens with burst, the SLIPREP errors apears. If you got spare, you try another PRI-card. But my guess is that there is a problem somewhere in the connection from the Telco. Call them in and let them test teh connection over a loop at the far end. Pennyman.

Location: Lou, KY Rep Power: 9 ![]() | Are the LOOPS that you use as PREF on both sites from the same Telco ? NO One site is in Indiana and the other site is in Maryland. So, a call to the telco and I should ask for dispatch? Or is this something that they can do remotely? Should I start with the telco at the USR end of my circuit, since they are the ones taking errors? __________________ No matter where you go, there is the Ladies Love Marty Fan Club. :bow2: :bow2: :bow2:
