IP phone problems

An MG100B was recently installed at a new remote site with 1120E & 1140E phones working from central M1 81C with Succession 3.0. Some of the users wanted longer cords which were supplied, but when connected to the 1120/1140 the user can't be heard. These same cords work on regular digital phones as well as on IP i2004 working off the same M1 81C. What could be the trouble?

I'm confused did you say that the same cords work on digital phones and i2004 phones. Internet phones should use an 8 conductor cord like a data patch cord and digital phones like 3900 and 2616 should use a 6 conductor line cord. Perhaps I missed something in your post but they shouldn't use the same cord. Make sure that they have a straight thru 8 conductor patch cord for all IP phones. hope this helps
good luck

Sorry, these are handset curl cords not line cords.

Question

well that does make more sense sorry for the confusion.
I don't think there is any difference on handset cords. That is weird unless you got a bunch of bad cords.

The problem could be the handset piece. Does it works with the shorter spiral cord?
