Upgrade Meridian 81C - PBX Info :: Your Free PBX, PABX and Telephone Information Resource

Hello,

I have to upgrade the Meridian81C rls 25.40B to rls. 4.5.
The MC cards have IPtrunk 3.0 and IPLine 3.05.02. The PBX release 25.40B is not compatible with actual MC cards and IPline 4.5 is not compatible to rls 25.40B, so I have to upgrade both, PBX and MC in the same time.

Questions:

1. This are the right steps to upgrade the ITG Cards:
a. upgrade IPTunk from 3.0 to 3.1;
b. upgrade MC firmware from 6.5 to 6.8;
c. upgrade IPLine from 3.05.02 to 4.5;
d. upgrade IP phones firmware.

2. After I'll upgrade Core1 to 4.5 the FIJI cards will upgrade automatically?

3. There are other issues that I have to be aware about this upgrade?

Upgrading PBX, IPLine, and IPTrunk can be done independently, which ever comes first. About the procedure in upgrading MC, check it out in Nortel PIC Technical Document section.

FIJI cards, from my experience, will just adopt to the new release.

About other issues, always be ready with Nortel patches for your release 4.5, could be download from Nortel website, or already included in the upgrade kit.
