t1 Connection

I'm trying to connect a t1 connection from the switch via rj45 to a media converter to a server. They will not see each other. When I do a connection with straight copper it works. Because of the distance we want to use fiber.

I can make the media converter work with my pc over the fiber as long as I'm a 10mb but will not work at 100mb.

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

If you are using an Ethernet Media copper/fiber media converter in an attempt to extend a T1 circuit, you will spend the rest of your days in a futile attempt to get it to work. You are using the wrong product, kinda like putting diesel in your gas tank. It's an apple/oranges thing.

You can use a T1 Fiber Extender like this rad unit - http://www.rad-direct.com/Product-T1...nder-fiber.htm
I just found this link by googling "T1 Fiber extender" I'm sure there are other products out there.
Another route would be to use regular T1 units over copper - prob much cheaper if you have copper backbone where you're going.....

Good Luck
