music on hold + still hear customer
Hey folks,

Is it possible to put someone on hold so that they hear music but still be able to hear them should they talk? If this is possible, please direct me in programing this feature.

Check your Conf/Tds cards, there may be a bad port on one of them. I had this happen in my old life on an OPT81C, Rls 23.0. We had to busy one card out and see if the problem was still happening. We found that one card had a bad port. Ended up getting a new card and never had the problem again.

I doubt if that is possible by just hitting one key, but here's a sloppy way of doing that.
Start a conference with the ACOD of your music route, and put yourself on mute.

okay, so judging by the comments it is not a standard feature. Good. I had someone instist that it worked at their old job and supposedly they were using M2216's.

Keep in mind there are several devices available to monitor analoge lines that would be installed ahead of the pbx.

Telemarketers use these to monitor their workers. It is possible they may have been using something like that.
