Change the DNUM on a DCH ?

Anyone know if it is possible to disable a dch and change the adan to reflect a new DNUM ?

Want to move a dchannel from one MSDL to another. Very simple if I can chg the DNUM without having to out and re-build trunks and dch's.

Thanks

Lets see.. there are many issues surrounding an attempt like this. First of all, I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish, so I'll just go with your question as is. All of my statements below end in: "I think" because I do not consider myself anything more than a novice.

1. You cant change the DNUM (btw, I dont see the PORT on your printout) if you have other ports (DNUM) programmed on the card..
2. Any changes made to a MSDL card (port programming or otherwise), you have to shut down the associated DCH's attached, the loops.. then disable the MSDL and re-enable doing a force download and enable your loops/dch's.
3. If you want to 'move' the DCH to another MSDL card (so you can use the DNUM for something else), you will have to rerun your DCH cable to the new MSDL card. Making any changes will cause a revisit to item 2 above.
4. Keep in mind, you cant have duplicate DNUM's in the same group.

To be on the safe side..I would print everything you have for that PRI, then out and rebuild where you want everything to be. Thats what I would do anyway. GL
