Backups...

Are backups that are made hardcoded with the devices serial number or any ID? Will a device backup made be able to be restored on a replacement PBX?

This is an M1 x11 11c.

I have had some experience with backup and restore on Option 11C.
If you backup to a PC file using LD143 XBK, this will require a matching Secruity Device or TID to restore.
If you backup using the Upgrade and Archive feature LD143 to a PCMCIA card, you can store up to 10 backup files on the card and restore any of the files to any Option 11C SSC card.
You can read about both procedures in the Option 11C documentation.

Most standard PCMCIA cards will work. There are always exceptions if you buy them at a cheap discount store.
