Fiber Remote Multi IPE

I've been trying to get more info on the Remote Fiber Multi IPE. Does the actual Fiber interface sit outside the switch?

So your config looks like NT8D04XX -> fiber remote (local) -> Fiber -> Fiber Remote (remote) -> NT8011X ???

It uses the normal superloop and controller cards on the CPU shelf and IPE shelf? Just instead of the regualr superloop cable between the XNET and the Cont, it uses (basically) a "media converter" on both ends with fiber inbetwinx?

Is anyone out there using one....so's that I might pick your brain a little? (or Alot!)

Thanks for any info....

I use it alot, and love it.

Yes it's a box that sits outside the PBX (wall or rack mount) -48volt, 2 or 4 superloops, w/ a redundent option

PS: remotes w/ NO lightning protection

Thanks for the info - I'm glad it's working out. Can I use my existing spare SUPL card and just buy another IPE module with a regular controller for the other end? and of course get the external fiber interfaces.....
