Question Creating new Errors

Hi anyone who read this...

I've been trying to add some keycodes on a 11C option, and, following the NTPs and my own criteria (), I started doing a LD 43 - EDD.

And here is where my headaches begins: the systems accepts the command, thinks (for about 10 seconds) and then: .EDD112 .
Ok, let see ERR EDD112. What? OVL441 Help text not found for error code: EDD112. Ok, ok... Don't panic! Let see NTP Sofware Input/Output:System Messages. No data?? Let search in the whole collection... Nothing? NADA??!! Ok. Now you can panic.

Help? please??

error edd112 = security check failed. I looked this up in OTM. The online help doesn't list it.
I would guess there is something wrong in the keycode or the keycode doesn't match the system.

Hope this helps,

Wherewolf

You said you are adding keycodes, so you have new keycodes? Any error while doing this process?

Was everything still correct in LD 22 SLT (ISM & the three KEYCODES) against your keycode sheet? How about the TID & aux ID?

EDD112 means there is a mismatch on them.

TomasSouth, I think you need more beer to understand what I'm trying to explain (probably it's me who needs it ).

I never introduced the keycodes, nor check the SLT.
First I tried to do an EDD, but failed with an unknown error (thanks WhereWolf). Later I executed an SLT but ALL ISM PARAMETERS WHERE 0!!!!

Now, all is over: last night I found some courage (that was the bottle said ) and made a SYSLOAD (you know: ld 143 xsl).
After that, PBX returned from its insanity and finally keycodes where introduced, validated and made fully functional.

Thanks everybody!!!

P.S.- TomasSouth: I hope you not to take at bad my joke. If so, please excuse me, I didn't want to.

It's the security dongle 95% of the time... Clean the contacts. Thats the easy one.
the other 5% of the time is a corrupt security file on the C: drive. If it happens again.
first clean the dongle contacts.
if the EDD112 continue reload the OS

That should not be a problem. I enjoy this forum. None of us knows everything, good thing a forum like this was created. Good thing for the starters.

See life during 1996 (year I begin with nortel pabx, still not perfect until now ), no forum, just NTPs beside you, and help with the seniors who were also cannot give much time on you.
