traffic/OTM - Package 168 needed?

Hey gang -

I'm running into a problem pulling traffic from a site using OTM1.2. I can set up the pbx for traffic collection via OTM. When I run it from the scheduler I can see it dialing into the PBX, log in, and start the traffic collection (TRF000). Then in about 5 seconds I get "Traffic Collection is completed". I go to run the report and it says that the "Traffic Data Collection" was "canceled".

Let me ask this, is package 168 needed to run/pull traffic? I noticed that's not in the pbx.

Thanx,
Scott

Sure did. I've since discovered that I can pull traffic using OTM for other sites. It's this one site I can't. I also foundout that package #168 is not needed.

Did you setup that side for traffic, in OTM you have to setup a site for traffic and send that to the M1. If you are not sure, just do it again.
You can also check in=t in the M1.
Login into the M1 from that site, go to ld 2 and give te command TOPS,
the result gives you wich report item are switched on in the M1.
check the NTP's to manually switch report types on or off,
SOPS r r .... for switching on, r = reporttype
COPS r r .... for switching off.

It's all set up correctly. I can pull traffic from other sites but just not this one. Odd.

I'll share what I find.

No. Not 351 but other sites I pull traffic from do not have that either.

I think the TTY port is not set up for traffic. I can't mess w/the pbx due to an agreement with their vendor but they're gonna look into that.

No but other locations I pull traffic do not have that package. I suspect traffic is not turned on on the TTY I connect to. I can't mess with the pbx due to an agreement in place with the current vendor.

I hope it's that simple.

For those follwing the saga. Traffic was not turned on on the TTY port. Got that done. Still no go. I found out they don't have a buffer box hence the lack of data!!! They said they had the vendor pulling traffic.

Anyhow, I think we're on the way to pulling traffic.

Thanx guys for your input.
