I have an agent with a 2616 and his ext as a MCR key. How do I make the message waiting light come on for his messages?

A second problem how do I stop him from being logged out when he hangs up?

The Log off is in queue configuration. LD 23 HOML = yes. Logs off when on hook.
Change to NO.

Never used a MCR key. However if it is a RingyDingy type (R probably means Ringing)
Then in MM user, enter the number in Message waiting notification.

Plus make sure that the MCR key is marped to his TN. otherwise MM will turn the light on wherever the DN is marped

I have the MCR key ext set in the MM but dont know how to set up MARP in fact I dont understand what MARP is. Can any one give me an intro.

MARP = Multiple Appearance DN Redirection Prime.

Simply put; It tells the system to take the call redirection (FDN HNT etc) instructions
from this TN.

Pull up the TNB for this phone. Null the MCR key. Re-define the key and
if it appears on another phone you will be prompted with MARP.
Enter YES. That will do it.

One other thing. If it does not appear on another set, the system
will respond with MARP but will not give you a chance to enter anything.
It will skip to CPND prompt.

Sorry for the delay in responding I have been busy it would appear my MM is stuffed. (see post under MM).

Yes I do have MARP and now understand what it does but this MCR key is the only appearance of the extension number. I very much appreciate your help with this.

Mikee,
If it is the only place the DN rings why is it set for MCR? MCR is a simple form of ACD. Try changing t he key to SCR and give it a try.

I had it as MCR to have three keys ringing but should make it SCR with hunting shouldn’t I?

Doesn’t realy matter at this stage as I don’t have any mail at the moment.
