Hunt to another extension question.

I have a higher up that needs to have his phone ring 3 times, his assistants phone 3 times, the assistants portable phone 3 times, then back to his voice mail.

I can get this to ring his phone 3 times, his assistants 3 times then back to VM. I need on more hop.

His phone: 1633
His assistants:1345
Assistants portable: 5022

VM 1350

You wouldn't happen to have symposium would you? If you do, that would be a simple script.

I do have Symposium but would prefer not to use that. My guess is a CLS on one of the phones. Two hops works great. I have been testing this with another person and the last stop, portable phone, just rings and rings.

Who's voicemail box do you want the call to end up in?

If your hunting the call, the only way I know of to get call back to the original dialed number's box is by using symposium and controlled routing.

Unless you build a chain of logic such as:

Phone 1 rings 3 times, hunts to Phone 2, rings 3 times, hunts to phone 3, phone 3 would hunt to a phantom dn which is dfcw to vm. The DN of phantom would have to be configured in Phone 1's voicemail extension list.

Only downside of this, is all calls going to phone 3 that are not answered are going to goto phone 1's voicemail box.

I understand what your trying to accomplish and if you can find a simple way to do this by using the pbx only.. cool. I just don't think the pbx has that kind of logic built in. I would love to be proven wrong though.

Colin,
Yea I changed that and I still cannot get to the first phone's VM.

I did notice an error on the TTY when I tested this:
ERR5384 ST-CI 1557 1420 (this is my extension so it wont be on the attachment)

Something rings a bell about 2nd level hunting (cls code for it). Need to set that on both phones involved.
