I saw a previous posting on the specific steps for moving a 3905 that is aquired by Syposium. I'm pretty new to this stuff and I just want to ensure I folllow the steps in the right order. I know the set has to be disabled in both the Switch and the sympoium before any move can take place.

Would someone be so kind as to walk me through the recommended steps.

Thanks!!!

First, Deacquire the set in Symposium. Log into the PBX disable the set. Go into ld 11 and move the set . Once moved enable the phone in the PBX Go to the PHONESETS screen in symposium. Create a new phoneset for the TN that the set was moved to already. Re-acquire the set. And your done!!

p.s. do not move, out or make changes to ANY set that is acquired by symposium. It WILL cause corruption in the M1 Database.

Good luck

Hunt Group for a DN

I received a confirmation from Nortel which they are explaning the saftiest way to Mov a phone set that was previously Acquired by Symposium without corrupting your system.
The ONLY way to avoid corruption is the following steps:
- De-acquire the phone set in SCCS
- OUT on the phone set and NEW on the other TN.
** This is the same methode to perform any change on an ACD phone set (Acquired by SCCS).

I hope this will help you !!!

option 11c with Remote Cabinet - extend off cabinet

This time I think I'll just swap the jumpers....your right it is easier.

But its good to know how to move the sets properly within the sofware!!!

Thanks all!
