Music on hold volume

I am not too familiar with the setup for an ACD, but we already have one in place that functions as follows...
"welcome...press 1 to go here press 2 to go there...ect etc."
During office closings, for weather, how can I change the main DN to say "we are closed...blah blah blah...please press 1 to go to our main menu" and revert back to our normal greeting?
Or is there another way of doing this.
I see in our 'announcement def's' the previous admin already set up an inclement weather announcement, but how and where do I assign this for our main number the public dials and then enable them to get to our main greeting with options to "press 1 to go here press 2 to go there...ect etc."
thanks for any input.

headsets for Partner Phones

There are two or three ways this could be set up. Each with pros and cons.
The most effective way I've found would be the TOD controls.
Using the Holiday settings to target the Weather Closed Announcement
with a 0 revert back to the Main Menu. You would just not define the Holday until
you wanted it to play.

This does require someone to access MM and make the changes each time
there is a weather problem.

main greeting- how to change

thanks,
I just found that in our VSDN table I can change our main DN (500).
I can keep the access dn set to 500 in the properties, change the service from MS to AS, change the voice menu ID to 721 (inclement weather announcement) and it works fine.
At this point is there a way that I could allow someone to press 0 to return the main 500 greeting?

URGENT HELP! ITG Line

In either AS or MS definitions there is a field call REVERT. That's the Access DN,where the calls go when 0 is press. But, If I'm following what you are doing, If you put in the access DN of 500 it will retrun the the same service you are in. Once you've made your changes, another access DN would need to be set up to target the original Menu.

I.E.

Access DN 500 now targets AS721.
MS500 has no Access DN since it was changed.
By setting up antoher Access DN xxx (ACDDN) with MS500 as the Menu ID
You could set the REVERT to xxx and it would go to MS500.
This can remain in the VSDN table and would not ever need to be changed.
When not used it would just hang out in the DN table.

Hope this helps.

Call forward help!

This has been a tremendous help, thanks.
Do you know if there is a way I can change change my 500 DN to AS721 through a set?
I don't know if anyone else has the technical knowledge to go through these steps...such as dialing in and going through all the MMail screens.
It would be nice to be able to call in and change my main MS500 to AS721 from any phone.
Is this possible?
I do have prompt maintenance setup, but it doesn't seem like I can actually change the voice menu ID and service for an entry in the VSDN table.
thanks!

BUG 9159

There is no way to do this from a phone. The best you could hope for
would be to setup a modem on a "T" switch and dial in using Procomm or other
application.

Good Luck!
