I have an acd phone (2216) that the message waiting light is not working. Key 00 is acd key and key 1 is their personal ext. MWA is enabled in class of service, any ideas. Please HELP!!!

Is the mailbox setup in Mer Mail/Call Pilot?
I know that sounds silly but I had to ask.

If their dn appears on another phone this can cause it not to light. Pull that appearance off the other phones and light should work. Or you can try to add a xmwk key to the persons phone and leave the appearances on the other phones and see it that works.

We are using call pilot and they do not have an appearance on another phone. The phones are aquired in symposium. If that matters.

Can you manually light the light via the MIK key?

How do you do that? Would I put an MIK key on my phone and try to light another persons ext with a code?

Yes - On your maintenace phone add MIK on a key.

To activate MW lights, press MIK and enter the extension of the mailbox to light...

On your maintenace phone add MCK on a key.

To deactivate MW lights, press MCK and enter the extension of the mailbox to turn light off.

So, if you can turn the light on and off with the M' keys, then the switch considers that set to be the prime appearance for the message waiting light.

Thus, you have a problem with your voice mail program. Check your voicemail programming...
