Installing a NT5D11 line side T-1 card to support a conference bridge. I have reviewed the documentation. Some parts are straight forward. Other parts are cloudy. If anyone has installed one these, let me know if there any pitfalls.

I have in the past. Basically, you program 2 analog cards, but only the first 8 ports on both cards. Then slide you card in and presto. You are ready to go. I have a feeling I may be missing something, please post if I am.

Yeah, that part is pretty straight forward. Do you remember details such as channel signalling\supervision (loop start, ground start, wink etc.)?

Well, you can find all the information necessary in the document 553-3001-105, LINE CARDS DESCRIPTION, basically you only need configure the number of channels (the analog cards), and if you need also transfer between channels, add the values of ISP OSP in every channel.
And if you want to see alarm status you need one tool called Man Machine Interface.

I hope this help you.

WHY DON"T YOU USE A PRI. Then you can get CLID and track/monitor conference calls via CDR. There are quite a bit of advantages. ( if the system suppports PRI.

To my knowledge Nortel does not produce a line side t-1 card that supports PRI.

Are you actually having a problem with the it? If so what kind of problem? I just installed one today, pretty straight forward with the dip switch settings, D4/AMI, Loop Start or Ground Start. On the switch side, you program the 1st card with 16 ports, 2nd card with 8 ports for your 24 total. Not 8 & 8 as mentioned in a previous post.

Not having any problems. I haven`t installed it yet. Was just checking to see if there were any pitfalls. Installation looks pretty simple and straight forward.
The brand name is of the bridge is XOP.
