User NCOS & ACD

Hi,

When I create a Menu Service in MMail, and I dont record any greeting or menu choice
why is it playing the error message? Is is possible to have a silence??

Exemple: MS200001 will call MS200002
MS200001 is for a special message
MS200002 is my main menu

Since I dont have always a special message... I would like this to play a silence.
But the only way to make it work is to record a fish kiss for the greeting.

Is there another way to play a silence in my MS200001??

Thanks

Application Builder problem

Silence doesnt work...
A fish kiss is a way to represent a small "smack"
Look at a fish... you will understand!

QUEUE

Am I missing something? Or shouldn't 20001 be an AS not A menu. How can you have a silent menu? You have to have something to select.

I believe you can have a silent AS. I'll let you know in about 5-10 mins.

ITG mixing up channels

Yep! Works like this.
Set up AS XXXX.
Record a test.
Save

Go back into the AS and re-record, this time use only silence.

Worked for me.

EBLN and ISM issue

The idea behind the MS is that we use it also for a fast path...

Exemple:

VSDN->MS01->MS02

MS01 is our special message or fish kiss
MS02 is the main menu...

But MS01 also has fast path, that we cannot do with a AS...

Have any other idea??

Intermittent can't dial 610 area code

I guess I'm in the same boat with Ride. The terminology is a little vague.
I have fish at home, but never kissed them. Maybe I should, but so far
I haven't had to, so I'm lost there. Also, what are we calling a fastpath?

VSDN, MS01 and MS02 I understand.

This is what I'm picturing.

One dials the VSDN (xxxx)
MM sends to MS01

MS01= Message( if you have one) with default to MS02 or option for MS02. (Press1; Press2; Press3 etc)

MS02 = option 1 to yyyy
option 2 to zzzz
option 3 to wwww
etc......
I assume then if MS01 has to be a Menu then the message will determine what the menu or selection is.

Am I following you or is this way off base.

URGENT HELP! ITG Line

You're almost there!

MS01 will have only a message if there is a major issue occuring with that cie
example: If there an outage We will record a message informing everyone
if not we want to record "silence" since silence cannot be recorded we record a
fish kiss. Fish kiss sounds like "smack"

So if you call in... it goes to VSDN then MM sends to MS01, you hear "smack" then
the main menu is played in MS02

If there is a message recorded in MS01.... it will be:
VSDN then MS01 "There is a outage on server Blablabla" then MS 02 "main menu"

Fastpath is the main option menu that I setup in MS02
So even if the Special Outage message is played... The customer can select the option
while listening to the outage message.....

Do you follow me?

Call forward help!

OK! I follow now.

Your using the MS01 "No Response Revert" to send to MS02 menu.

Which an AS would not have. Callers would have to press 0.

You would think there would be a way to do this without all the fuss, but I'm stumped.
Sorry I couldn't have been more help.

Anyone else got any ideas out there?
