did you figure it out?

Shanks,

Just to let you know, I was having a very similar issue on a nortel wireless set that supported 2 cordless phones. Pick up the line and it would be a loud click or ticking sound that was unbearable.

We thought it was wireless noise from the location of the base station, but it turned out to be a small piece of plastic on the punchdown block for 1 of the lines going to the base/phone. We cleaned the block, and then re-punched the line... voilla.. noise was gone. Not sure if that's what kind of problem you are having, but I could see this happening on any phone/line that had physical connectivity problems.

Hope you figured it out.

05 would be the unit on the card used as the station port.

I hope this helps.
HCJ Oops you missed one

04= loop
00= shelf
05= card
01= unit
