Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has ever connected a Digi Port Server to a TTY port on their Meridian to allow them to telnet to the PBX? If so, do you know what the pin out is from the RJ45 to the DB25 on the Meridian? I had this set up using a Racal Terminal Server but it's dead and the pin out must be different because I'm trying to use the same cable and it's not working. Thanks for your help!

I do not have any documentation on the device you are referring to, however, I do not that some terminals do there own nul modeming and others do not. Perhaps you should try a nul modem adapter between your cable and the switch to see if that will help.

Yes, we've connected the Digi to systems both large and small. The Option 11 with octopus cables was the easiest to get up and working.

On the Option 11, everything was straight through with just a DB25 gender bender to make the connection to the octopus cables.

The larger systems took a little more time to get up and working and quite frankly, they seemed to work differently from one tty port to the next, even if it was the same card. If you are working on a large system are you connecting to a paddle board?

I can check the pin outs and post what we have, but I might also suggest you enlist the help of someone with a breakout box to make things go faster and with less frustration for you.
