Anyone use the faxing feature through Unified Messaging?

I would like to know how faxing out this way works for you.

Any issues with incoming faxes going to your Outlook?

Funny you should ask. I have been having issues with a vendor that was suppose to add fax to the desktop. I can fax from my outlook only to a local fax or another mail box but not recieve. I have tried every combination of RPL's I could come up with and assigned fax channel's but to no avail. They say they are working with Nortel on the issue but being 750 air miles from them it is a bit frustrating to say the least.

Any clues out there.

I use it daily. The outbound fax once it is setup correctly works great. My only problem with out bound fax is the IT dept. they started blocking port 25 on the client machines.
Hophead check the NCOS of the voice mail ports. When it was first setup they put the NCOS to low on our Voicemail ports and we could send to extensions but couldn’t send external faxes.

ACDN's and CDN's use the Ncos of the route data block RDB, check the Ncos of your RDB's to make sure it is high enough to send outside your PBX. You can also test it by putting the destination fax # as NCFW in the ACD then call the ACD to see if it is a fast busy or something else.

Yikes!

We currently have a fax server that works through Outlook.
We create a new contact person and only add the fax number.
Then we create a new mail message that only sends a fax.
We can add attachments that go out as a TIF file.

Is everyone saying that faxing via Unified Messaging is not like we have now?
