Fisherman's Freind Reads as DUI with Police

Well, here we are about to install a couple of analog line cards.
61C, suc3, OTM.

Here is my guess, tell me right or wrong??

In OTM, under station administration, view, hardware.
Then edit, add, then I select the card type and enter the loops, shelf and card.

Is that all there is to adding a card??

Do I add the card first and then do the OTM stuff?? Or do the OTM stuff first and then install the card?

Thanks!!

No, I have NO idea about the CLI. The CLI and me just don't get along very well!

Thanks for all input!

Trunk to Trunk w TIE

I could be wrong but , just manually input the TN when building the new set. It will assume thats whats there after the 1st one.

*** I don't have OTM ***

I was under the impression that the OTM thing was not service impacting but a nice, neat tool for inventory.

That being said, if you install the card in the PBX and build the first set all of the TNs will show in the PBX as available when you LUVU, 500. They won't show in the LUVU, 500 until you build the first set on that new card.

for what it is worth...

Read what yall said.....
Went and installed one analog line card.
Light was red since nothing was built on it.
Went to OTM and tried to build a unit.
OTM kicked it out claiming something about invalid card density.
Went to the view hardware.
Edit, add, and added the card to OTM.
Tried again to build a unit on card with OTM.
OTM still kicking it out claiming something about card density.
Went to CLI ( ewwwwwwwwww ).
ld 10, new, bla,bla,bla.
Unit was now built and working.
Went to OTM and did a retrieve on that TN.
OTM now happy and I can build/delete on card.

Thanks!!! such screwy stuff......

Actually this is the only way to do it if you´r using OTM.
If you install a new card digital or analog you have to put a set on the card
and then retrieve that TN into OTM then you´r all good to go.
