I am currently showing channels on my dual pri card that are always busy. When I do a TRAD in LD 88 it shows that two channels are communiating with each other. I thought at first that I may be experiencing toll fraud, however, I do have Tromboning turned off and the CO is showing these channels as LCKO, not in operation.

I show both Loops 19 and 18 (on same card) doing this. Does this sound like a bad dual PRI card?

Do you allow external trunk to trunk transfers or unsupervised conferencing?

I've had the same problem on analog trunks because we have to allow external trunk to trunk transfers... never seen a PRI do this though.

No we do not have trunk to trunk. And again the CO does not show then in use. Also the one TRAD showed to dialed DN, as if they were joined to a time slot, however, not talking to anything.

I don't have an answer as to why it happens, but I get the same thing. A couple of times a week I go through and check the channels and I'll find a couple of them tied together like that. We have a central Call Center that does transfer external calls to external numbers and I always presumed the channel thing was a byproduct of that process.

Is that 567 number a valid number?

I've had single line users hook flash trunks together when they get a wrong number and the COs DRAM kicks on... for some reason the DRAM would never disconnect, if you don't allow external trunk to trunk then that shouldn't happen.

The 567 number is valid and I could understand the possiblity there, however the other sample pasted shows two joined together with no dialed DN.

I was doing a DSCH and ENCH. Does one have an advancetage over the other? I have another Dual PRI card coming. I belieive it is odd that it is only happening to the loops on this card.

I will let you know what I find.

I changed out the Dual PRI card (NT5D12) and the problem has not come back.
